Creative services in Virginia’s scenic and historic Shenandoah Valley
The Edinburg School, in Edinburg, Va., was built in 1932 and always was a big part
of the community. But it risked demolition due to deterioration. A partnership between
the Shenandoah County Board of Supervisors, Shenan- doah County Schools and Charter House
of Schools of Richmond, Va., gave the beautiful old school building a new future by
turning it into a state-of-the-art facility for autistic and other special-needs kids
– again part of the public schools.
SVP produced a six-minute documentary about the
school’s history and its new role.
